Holidays
I love Thanksgiving. In fact, I think it may be my favorite holiday, primarily because of all the delicious food. Although I don't have much of a sweet tooth I still seem to indulge on cookies and pies over the week of Thanksgiving. I started thinking of ways I could still enjoy my favorite Thanksgiving foods: Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, and Cranberry Sauce and I realized that if I substitute a low calorie sweetener instead of sugar in these recipes then I could cut out lots of calories!!! This was seriously my best "Ah Ha!" moment. I baked a pumpkin pie last night with Splenda instead of sugar and it was so good I'm going to make another one for Turkey Day!
