In need of a nap...now!

Last week, I was cranky and out of sorts. This week, I'm exhausted and out of sorts. Seriously, y'all. I don’t know if it's related to stress or something in the air (finally going to see an allergist next week, hooray!), but I've been a bit of an insomniac lately. I toss and turn half the night – and when I do get some shut-eye, it's restless at best. Must.Have.Sleep...soon! Or a tropical vacation to rest my body and mind.

Anway, on a normal evening, I would head home, heat up a cup of chamomile tea and hop in bed for a disco nap. However, my parents are coming in town tonight and I have to go pick them up at the airport. Believe me, I'm super excited to spend time with the fam, just wish I didn't feel so beat up and broken down. And have I mentioned that I still have NOT finished cleaning the apartment or picking up groceries? ACK! So much to do, so little time.

Sooo, for a quick energy boost, what do you recommend? Should I bust out a Red Bull, Monster energy drink or hit the local Caribou for some coffee? Or do I keep it on the lower-key side with a Diet Coke or Diet Mountain Dew...decisions are the worst!

FYI: My folks asked for a light meal tonight, so I think I'm going to put out some cheese, crackers and roasted red pepper hummus, and make this delicious Garden-Fresh Tomato Basil Pasta. That, plus a fridge full of import beer and diet soda should make the 'rents very happy indeed!
