Tom Hanks Enjoys a Diet Soda While Promoting Larry Crowne

In his interview last week with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Tom Hanks was promoting his new movie, Larry Crowne (I attended the premiere in Atlanta with friends and we loved it) and he was also taking time to enjoy a diet soda. Mr. Hanks seems to have impeccable taste not only in movies and in choice of beverages, but also in fashion.
"Tom Hanks breezes into the room, leaving a whiff of cheerfulness in his wake.

His suit, a handsome navy number, is impeccable. The large black glasses framing his kind eyes give him an aura of middle-aged studiousness.

Within seco
nds of bursting into a 42nd-floor residence at The Mansion on Peachtree in Buckhead -- a palatial unfurnished apartment rented for the day for interview purposes -- Hanks removes both suit jacket and glasses, closes the door on the small entourage trailing him and cracks open a bottle of Diet Coke."

Cheers to a shared love of diet soda, Tom! I sat in the theater sipping one and tried to not snort it up my nose, because I was laughing so hard during the movie. Both he and Julia Roberts are still amazing actors and George Takei adds some fabulous comic relief as the economics professor touting his own course packet. “Oh my!”

"They may be called smart phones, but in my class, only dummies use them, Mr. Crowne."
If you read the rest of the AJC article, you can tell Tom is a very down to Earth kind of person –you should also see him dancing with the weather girl on Univision!

Check out the trailer for Larry Crowne - This movie gets two diet sodas way up from me!

I wondered how Tom has stayed in pretty decent shape over the years. Must be working out and watching calories carefully. His interview on B98.5 was great!
