Coke Rewards or Pepsi Stuff

Of course I am collecting both. I currently have over 800 My Coke Rewards points, and around 10 Pepsi Stuff points. I have a bunch more Coke points because it's been going on for a while now, while the Pepsi promotion just started a few months ago. I get a kick out of punching in the codes and checking out what prizes I might get. Nothing cashed in so far, but I have my eye on a few things.

How many points do you have? Any prizes picked up so far?

More New Bottles!

I'm not sure why but whenever I do a post about new bottles, cans, or new bottle design, I get soooo many comments. Well take a look at this new (classic) bottle from Coca-Cola.

From BevNet.com: "Coca-Cola North America (CCNA) ... announced the introduction of a special vintage Coca-Cola bottle called the 1906 Diamond Label, which hits stores nationwide this week."

Looks really cool. What do you guys think?

Do You Watch For The Commercials?

Instead of focusing on the game while watching the Super Bowl, do you instead find yourself waiting for the commercial breaks? I know that I will be anticipating what Madison Avenue can pull out of their hats this year. To tide you over here are a couple of cool soft drink related ones from last year:

Another New Product

Seems like new stuff keeps hitting the shelves faster than I can sample it and get up a post. BevNet reminded me of a new product I had been meaning to get something up about, but had simply forgotten.

In partnership with Coca Cola North America, Caribou Coffee has some new iced coffee beverages on stores shelves and in coolers. I've picked up a couple of bottles of the regular flavor and really like the cool aluminum bottle packaging. The taste is not as sweet as most of the other iced coffees I've had, and at 120 calories, it's not going to kill your diet or waistline either.

Check out the BevNet review here: Caribou Coffee.

Here is some information from Coke. I like that name for the bottle Alumi-Tek, feels so sci-fi.

While doing a little research for this post, I found this great site from Coke that details all new products: New Products. Pretty awesome!

Just Chill...

Reports are circulating that Coca-Cola is about to unveil a new type of soda – the super-chilled soda that is. According to the UK’s Mirror, “Coca-Cola has invented a bottle that chills on the inside when the top is twisted off.”

During the summer (and all year-round really) I love an ice-cold glass of diet soda. The problem comes when the ice melts and suddenly my flavorful soda tastes like water. It’s disgusting.

These new “super-chilled” sodas must be kept in special vending machines to regulate their temperatures. Once a consumer opens the soda, a mechanism inside the beverage creates ice out of the soda so the liquid is never diluted with water.

The line will begin its trial run in the UK first, and the first soda Coca-Cola will roll out will reportedly be a new drink called the Sprite Super Chilled.

I’ll keep you informed on any new developments but keep your eyes and your ears peeled.

I Never Thought Being a Zero Could Be Such a Good Thing

Coca-Cola is really zeroing in on its diet flavors. They just announced today that not only is Vanilla Coke coming back but they’re also bringing in Vanilla Coke Zero. I was never much of a fan of Vanilla Coke but I have a feeling this is going to make a lot of people very happy.

A wise little birdie once told me that this “Zero” variety of Coca-Cola all started with Diet Sprite Zero, which eventually became Sprite Zero. Coke Zero has proved to be incredibly popular for Coke and they’re trying to capitalize on its success by introducing new flavors.

I for one absolutely love the Cherry Coke Zero. I haven’t tried Pibb Zero yet but considering I’m a huge fan of Mr. Pibb, I have a strong inclination I’ll enjoy that one as well.

According to my wise little birdie, there’s also a Fanta Zero and a Vault Zero. I plan on trying the Fanta Zero for sure if only because I love their commercials almost as much as I love diet soda.

With all these varieties of Zero out there, how ever will the consumer choose? I think this all goes back to giving the consumer more choices. Pepsi has also been introducing new products, which I plan to share with you in the near future, and more companies are sure to follow suit.

So, what do you think about Coca-Cola’s ‘”Zero” sodas?
